Details 10k, 5k,& 5k Town alternate, same stamp. Rated 1+ . Summer 6 a.m. - 6 p.m. Fall 6 a.m. 4 p.m. May close earlier in off season. Snow/ice will cancel this event. After registering you will drive 0.3 mile north to the walk start. Lake Forest 5k walkers will drive 2.5 miles to the start. Instructions on walk directions. Pets OK on 5k Town walk only. Altitude 6,200 ft. Walk thru Tahoe City on paved bike trail to charming suburb of Lake Forest. Lake Views, Coast Guard Stn, State Park. Picnic areas. Return partly along historic Commons Beach trail. Cross the Truckee River Dam. Alternate Town 5k walk remains in Tahoe City. Commons Beach, picnic areas, Dam crossing and State Park.
